THE PROCESS
Wondering what your flowers will experience throughout their time with us? We've created this 11-Step guide to help our clients understand more about Flower Preservation and why it's a lengthy process.
You can also use the below guide to see when you'll access the Client Portal.
Placing Your Order
Step 1
Placing your order is the first step in the process! We have an extremely convenient booking process to allow you to shop directly from our website and then schedule your drop off appointment or shipping date. We also offer AfterPay and Affirm at checkout to help break up those large purchases during your wedding planning process!

Please due your due diligence when booking us as a vendor, read our item descriptions, FAQ page, Process Page, and, Terms and Conditions.
Please ask us questions you have prior to booking us as we assume you have read all of the information we provide.
Flower Arrival
Step 2
Your flowers are here! They've arrived from either a hand-delivery or shipment and they are *beautiful*. We will take a "before" video of your flowers and then label them accordingly. Once they have been noted for your desired keepsakes, the breakdown, pressing and preservation will begin. Here at YWB we work with 10 different preservation methods which is why we are able to have vibrant, texture filled preserved florals, creating dimension and character in each design.

Based on the time of arrival, your flowers will stay in the drying phase for 10 weeks.
Out of Preservation
Step 3
They're preserved! We will take your florals out of the preservation and press and compare them to the arrival video we have from the day we received them. We will then assess which florals will be used in the design, separate the resin items from the pressed (if applicable) and move each to the next phase of the process: Reassembly & Preparation!
HoneyBook: Client Portal! Yay we will send you access to the client portal roughly 2.5-3 months after arrival letting you know they are out of drying! You will now need to complete your Client Questionnaire and upload Wedding Photos before we can begin your design process.
Reassembly & Prep
Step 4
Your flowers have now been separated for pressed and resin design preparations. Pressed flowers will now go through the gluing reassembly of deconstructed flowers and Resin flowers will be cleaned, loose petals will be glued, and then prepped for designs. Although it seems like it's only a few steps in this phase, the reassembly of florals can take 2+ hours for just 1 order. Flowers have so many petals!

We will be adding Color Correction in the near future to our shop add-ons for Pressed flowers and it would be applied to the flowers during this phase of the process.

Flowers stay in the reassembly process for 2 weeks prior to design. Please remember there is a queue of orders being worked on at once.
Ready for Design
Step 5
Your flowers are now on the design rack and are ready to be designed into a special arrangement based off of your bouquet style. It is extremely important to note that (at this time) Brianna is the sole designer of YWB and orders are designed 1 at a time. Depending on the keepsake ordered, a mock up of your order will be sent to you in your client portal when your design is ready. Ypu will have 1 week to approve or request changes.

Orders may stay in the design phase 2 weeks before your design mock up is ready to be sent, or your order is ready for gluing.
Please remember there is a queue of orders being worked on at once.
Your Custom Frame is made
When your flowers are going through the design process, Louis is given the frame order to begin making your custom frame. We feel so lucky to have this process in our studio to create high-quality framework and not a frame ordered from Amazon.

Each frame is hand-made right here by our very own Craftsman. The wood is cut to size, sanded, painted or stained per order and then sealed. We include hanging clasps on the back of each frame with rubber stoppers at the bottom so your frame hangs flush against your wall.

Louis designed a unique frame for You Will Blossom so that you can swap out your frame in the future for a different color and even have a restoration for color correction down the line, if desired!
Final Placement for Pressed Designs
Step 6
Your design has been finalized and is ready to be glued. Everything is glued in place, but due to the nature of some flowers, a petal might fall out of place over time. The gluing process takes roughly 2 hours per design. We work on one design at a time and have a queue of orders waiting for design and final gluing.
Final Placement for Resin Designs
Step 6
Your design has been finalized and we are ready to place your flowers in the first layer of resin! Once all flowers have been placed, the first layer of resin will cure for 24 hours before the next layer of resin. Each Tray consists of 4-6 layers of resin depending on how thick the flowers are. Resin coasters and Ornaments usually consist of 2-3 layers and then a top coat.
Resin layering takes 2 weeks due to the layers needing 24 hours in between to cure. Please remember there is a queue of orders being worked on at once.
Glass Cleaning for Pressed Frames
Step 7
Once your design has been glued, your design will make it's way over to Quality Control. In QC your design will be cleaned of fingerprints, glue, and any smudges on the glass. This is such a meticulous step and it's important that our QC manager takes their time cleaning because the flowers are extremely fragile and can be broken if this process is rushed. Once your design has been cleaned, it will be set aside for photography framing.
Finishing Touches for Resin & Pressed
Step 8
This step can be the most unpredictable when it comes to an estimated finish time. Resin Keepsakes that need top coats are sanded for final layers. Once the final layers are poured. Final layers need 72 hours to cure fully. Once they are cured they are sanded again, polished and cleaned. Ornaments are hole punched, coasters are leveled. Gold edging is applied to each order.

Pressed items are assembled into their photography frames and set aside for photos/ fulfillment with resin add-ons.

Orders may stay in the phase for 2-3 weeks for finishing touches and final stages. Please remember there is a queue of orders being worked on at once.
Photography
Step 9
When the keepsakes are ready I will get them in our photography studio to capture pictures for my portfolio. With orders that include both Pressed and Resin items, there could be a delay in photography due to finishing touches. We have 1 photography day per week.
Final Quality Control
Step 10
They've been designed, photographed, and now they will go through one last phase of quality control to clean one more time prior to being wrapped up for shipment or pick up.
Wrapping Up
Step 11
We wrap up orders differently based on shipments or pick ups.

After your order is wrapped up for pick up and set aside, we will reach out to you to let you know you can schedule your pick up appointment. This is found under our Schedule page on our website.

If your order is shipping, it will be packaged carefully for a safe delivery and set aside. We ship in batches of 20+ orders at a time and usually have 1 outgoing shipment per week. If your order isn't wrapped up by the time of shipping this week, it would go out on the next shipment day. Tracking information is sent via email when it is packaged up!
Process FAQ
Q: What is the turnaround time?
A: Our turnaround time is a minimum time frame of the amount of time it will take for us to complete your artwork. We give a minimum time frame of 5-6 months for pressed frames and 6 months for orders with resin items, and 6+ months for large collections or orders of 4 or more keepsakes.
Q: Why do you say "minimum" amount of time? What does that mean?
A: We give a minimum time frame meaning, your order should not be expected to be ready before this amount of time. This means it will require us a minimum of 5, 6, or 6+ months to complete the work, and your order will be ready after this time frame. As noted above, there are various steps that do not have a specific completion time because every order is different. Every order is worked on 1 at a time.
Q: If I was told my order is in the "finishing touches phase" aka Step 8, when will it be ready? Can I pick up today?
A: If your order is in Step 8, this means we are working on all of the final details before it can be completed. Once it's completed, we still have 3 more phases before it would be ready to be picked up or shipped. It would be likely 2-3 weeks after this stage before your order is ready to leave our studio.
The most important note: Each order and preservation may take a different amount of time to be completed. Your order may also take longer than the turnaround time given. This is not an AI job, we are human hands working meticulously and diligently to create something special, not just "get the job done". Patience is required.
